With a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology and twenty years of molecular research lab experience I now direct the work of the I-SPY 2 laboratory where we handle and bank all biospecimens associated with the I-SPY 2 trail. We assess and process specimens for biomarker work in collaboration with Biomarker Working Group and the Program Management Office. In addition, I am the liaison for the I-SPY advocate groups, providing support to the activities of this group to ensure the patient voice is part of the I-SPY 2 trial operations.
